File Sharing
File sharing is a method of sharing files with other users mainly to allow downloading of music and video. Two of the common programs that allow file sharing are Limewire and BitTorrent, but there are many more.
When you use these programs they do not turn themselves off when you are finished downloading the music or video. Instead they stay on in the background so that others can download the same music or video from your computer.
Not only is someone reading your computer’s contents but you are also slowing down your (and others) internet connections. If you do use these programs we suggest that you turn them off when not in use.
